Hi

I have made an owl Christmas card today

The owls were stamped and coloured
The green wiggly line was die cut using a wave die and I cut off the other side with scissors
I used some previously cut small embellishments to decorate the 'tree'

Pink Gift Tag

Hi

I have made a pretty gift tag today

I die cut the tag and covered it with patterned paper, it wasn't quite big enough to cover the whole thing so I used washi tape over the end
I added a washi tape stripe
The trees and rectangle are die cut and I tied some twine in a bow

Doughnut

Hello

I had to make a card involving my favourite food.  Oh what to choose...

I stamped, coloured and cut out the doughnut
The heart panel is die cut (another die from a bundle)
I stamped the sentiment from the same set as the doughnut
The background sprinkles I made from small dots of nuvo drops in multi colours

White Washed Flowers

Hello and welcome to a special blog

I have joined the design team at Cardz 4 Galz
which is very exciting

So this is my first team blog
and the theme is

'Stamp on Kraft'

I haven't done very much of this before as I have found that, while the stamp itself looks fine, colouring onto a dark background makes the colours dull.
So I was looking around on pinterest for inspiration and I found this technique called 'whitewash technique'.
Which solves this problem because you stamp the image and fill it with white ink or paint so when it is dry you can colour as if you are colouring onto white
So here is my card

These flowers are stamped, heat embossed with white embossing powder and painted with white (the online tutorials used special paint brushes/pens but I don't have anything like that so I used some ready mixed paint from Hobbycraft and watered it down a little) and painted it on with a paintbrush.
They were coloured as normal after the paint had dried and I added nuvo drop dots to the center

I used the same technique for the leaves but I didn't heat emboss them
The sentiment is stamped using distress ink as I found that these inks stamp the best on kraft
I also had some thin kraft offcuts which I curled and glued on just for fun
So quite a lucky find and a good technique to use on dark card
Would you like to see my practice flower? you know you do

What a beauty!!

So have a look at Cardz 4 Galz

and don't forget to check out my team mates cards and leave them a nice comment

Ducklings Swimming

Hi

I have stamped some cute ducklings

I die cut the water and marked just below where I was going to glue it and stamped the ducklings along this mark and coloured them.  The water is then stuck in it's proper place and therefore covering the bottom of the ducklings making them look like they are swimming.
The sentiment is stamped

Flowers in oval

Hello

I have made a bunch of flowers today

Frame
Die cut the ovals and glue them to some glitter card
Glue the top down with glue and the bottom with 3d glue pads

Flowers
Make the flowers by die cutting and pressing the middle with a round tipped tool (I used a nail polish dotting tool) onto something soft eg polystyrene so the edges bend forward
Add nuvo drops to the center and leave to dry

Stems and leaves
Die cut a selection and arrange them inside the frame allowing them to overlap

Assemble
Glue the flowers onto the tops of the stems

I filled his treat belly with a bath bomb as I had no chocolate (I wonder who ate it all)
and tied him together with some twine

Whale in the Water

Hello crafters

Today I have made a whale card

I used two pieces of blue card, cut them with a wave die cutter and overlapped them, slipping in the whale who I made with two oval die cutters and a googly eye
The water spray I made using a corner die, just a decorative one, but I removed the square outer and put it upside down on the whale and used the cut outs as water drops, decorating them all with white gel pen
The sentiment is die cut

I have been stencilling two toned flowers

I stencilled the flowers by running the blue ink around the outside of the stencil and the purple in the center, then I drew a black outline still using the stencil
I did the leaves in a similar way but only used green, I drew on the veins after with the same black pen
The sentiment is stamped and heat embossed
