I have stamped some plants today

Die cut the rectangle, stamp and colour the plants

Stencil dots around the plants

Stamp, heat emboss and die cut the sentiment.  Add a glitter glue border for some sparkle

Arrange the washi tape and die cuts

Steampunk

Hello crafty people

I have been working with steampunk today

Cover the card front with black card

Pink background

Import some clip art cogs to the cricut design space

Arrange them on the page in draw and cut a rectangle of a size that will fit on the card front (cricut design space doesn't allow you to draw rectangles, only squares, so weld squares together until it is the right size to get a rectangle and if you know a better way please let me know)

Black background

Take a selection of the cog pictures and change the draw to cut and cut them out of black card

Arrange them on the black side of the card

Corset

I copied the corset picture from one I found online and die cut it

Sentiment

Die cut the ribbon and use the cricut to write Happy Birthday (looking back I should have written first and then die cut, it would have been more central)

Snow-Men, Snow-Globe

Welcome to a very special blog

I am the guest designer for Christmas Card Throwdown!!

very exciting as I have never been guest designer before

The challenge this week is

Whatever does that mean? I hear you say (well it's what I said) so I looked it up and it is what it sounds like.  Take some embellishments and cluster them together

Well this is my take

I die cut some small Christmas images out of glitter card and patterned paper scraps and arranged them until I liked what I had done

The snow globe and snowmen were stamped and coloured, the star background is stencilled (I think if I did it again I would emboss instead)

The snow in the snowglobe is from white/clear glitter glue that I dabbed around randomly.  It doesn't show too well in the photo but it looks really sparkely in person

I didn't start the card with a red and gold colour theme in mind but the first few things I coloured were red and gold and I liked it so I carried on

Hi again

I have gone dotty today

I made a stencil and stencilled the dots in a rainbow

I used the cricut machine to write the sentiment and to draw the floating dots

Wedding Bears

Hello

I have made a wedding card today

Background

Lightly stencil hearts randomly in pink

Add washi tape to the edges

Stamp, heat emboss and colour the sentiment

Bears

Stamp and colour the bears

Use 3d pearl effects in red for the heart confetti

Die cut the frame around them and trim down

Cut a piece of glitter card just a little bigger and glue them together

Finishing touches

Die cut 'congrats' in glitter card

Die cut a small stitched edge rectangle and paint it with iridescent medium

Glue them together

Assemble

Snowflake Shaker Card

Good morning all

Today I have made my first ever shaker card

So I looked up some tutorials on how to and got stuck in

I used silver glitter card for the frame and die cut snowflakes out of card scraps

I put five inside the shaker and arranged the others on the front

The sentiment is stamped and heat embossed

When I made this card I was thinking man card and although it is brighter than what you usually see in a man card challenge I have stuck to manly colours, red, blue, gold and silver and I feel that a man would love it

Jingle Bells

hello

I have made a jingle bells card today

This card is very different to my usual style in fact I didn't like it when I first finished it but I put it up on my desk and I looked at it whenever I went past and it grew on me

I made the background with sentiment stamps which mentioned bells

The bell and holly swirl were die cut and the stripes are washi tape

Friendship

Hello again

I have made a friendship card today

The black swirls are a stamp that I got in a bundle from ebay a while ago

I stamped it right way up from the center and upside down joining in the middle

The seperate flower stamps were included in the set and I used the colours from AAA cards butterfly image

Many Monsters

Good morning all

I have done my layout a little differently today as I had four different colour challenges that I didn't know what to do with and then I recieved my new make a monster stamp set.  Definitely meant to be

Flip Flops

Hello

I have made some flip flops today

I made the easel on my cricut machine and the flip flops except for the shoe straps which were a die cut square frame which I cut

The flowers are die cut from my flower stash

I made the purple star pattern with a home made star stencil
