Hello
I have made a CAS style card today
I had to find a way to use splatters and after giving it some thought I used water colour paint on a brush and I flicked it randomly onto card (and my desk). I used red, green, yellow and blue and I think it came out really nice
I used yellow washi tape to contain the splatters and die cut the sentiment in black so it would stand out nicely
I am linking this card with

Thanks for looking

This is such a creative "take" on the sketch! Very fun splatters! thanks so much for playing along with us at the CC&S challenge blog!
ReplyDeleteI think you did a great job with the splattered background! I like that you put your own creative spin on the sketch by squooshing the card into a vertical format rather than the way it's drawn - which is perfectly fine by our rules since you've retained all the sketch elements. :) I'm glad that our CC&S challenge inspired you!
ReplyDeleteYour splatter background is beautiful,it reminds me of confetti. When I tried flicking with watercolours I think I got more on me than my card.

What a lovely take and combination of the two challenges, Dawn ! Beautiful technique to make splashes but also a very messy one. Love the mix of colours. Thanks so much for sharing and for playing along at Less is More.
ReplyDeleteLoving all these splatters, great for a teenage card with a kind of graffiti feel. Thanks so much for sharing with us at Less is More, Anita x
